Portrait of Oybek Jurabaev

Oybek Jurabaev is the founder and CEO of Summit Jet, a private aviation booking platform based in South Florida. Originally from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, he has built his career across aviation operations, education and technology, and he started Summit Jet to make private flying simpler, more transparent and easier to book.

Aviation experience

Oybek has worked on both sides of the Atlantic and under three regulatory systems: the FAA in the United States, EASA in Europe, and the Turkish DGCA.

  • Genel Havacılık, Istanbul: worked in flight operations under EASA and Turkish DGCA rules, coordinating the day-to-day planning that keeps aircraft flying on schedule.
  • Journey Aviation: coordinated maintenance for a fleet of 17 aircraft, keeping each one airworthy and ready for its next trip.
  • Signature Aviation, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE): Airside Experience Specialist at one of the busiest private aviation airports in Florida. He works with private travelers, crews and aircraft every day, and sees first-hand what makes a private flight feel effortless.

He has also trained as a pilot in the United States, so he knows the cockpit as well as the operation behind it.

Education

Oybek earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management, with a minor in Data Analytics, from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. He attended on a full-ride scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2026. At Lynn he also served as a Student Admission Ambassador and was named Digital Creator of the Year for 2023–24.

Why he started Summit Jet

Private aviation still runs largely on phone calls, emails and waiting for quotes. Oybek saw it from the inside every day and wanted it to work like booking any other trip: see real flights and real prices, choose one, and book it, all in one place.

Summit Jet brings together:

  • Empty legs: private jets flying empty repositioning flights, at a fraction of the usual charter price.
  • Shared flights: individual seats on private jets on popular routes.
  • Private charter: the whole aircraft, on your schedule.
  • Discovery flights: a first lesson at the controls with a certified instructor, at flight schools across the United States.
  • Helicopter tours: scenic flights from the Grand Canyon to Manhattan to Hawaii.

Summit Jet is a broker, not an airline. Every flight is operated by FAA-certified Part 135 operators. The platform is available in English, Russian, Uzbek and Spanish.

Education and mentoring

Before Summit Jet, Oybek founded ProAdmit, an admissions consulting company. He and his team have mentored more than 200 high school students into top-100 universities, earning over $700,000 in scholarships. Through Summit Jet he also works with SkyEagle Aviation Academy, helping students, including many from Central Asia, start their pilot training in the United States.

Aviation content creator

Oybek shares life in aviation with an audience of around 50,000 people across social media. Follow him on Instagram at @oybek.avia.

Languages

He speaks several languages and works with travelers and partners from many countries.
